CAPTAIN LARRY KENNEDY III Larry III has followed in his father's footsteps and has become an expert in his own right. His nickname is " Big Red" (although it has nothing to do with his hair) because he has, for the last few years, finished first (by size and number) in the National Redbone Fishing tournament held annually on St. Simons Island.
CAPTAIN KENNY DODD Kenny is known as "Turtle" from his previous profession working inside boilers- sticking his head out every once in a while for air. He is a highly accomplished fly fisherman, guide and tyer. Many of the flies we use in our guide service are produced by his skilled hands.
CAPTAIN BRANDON SIMMONS
Having grown up with fish on the brain and a fly rod in
hand, Capt. Brandon turned his love of angling into a full time profession. For him chasing big fish in shallow water isn't a hobby or just a profession, it's a way of life.

All of our guides are accomplished fisherman and skilled at assisting others to learn or enhance their skills with the fly rod and reading the water, tides and environment. They are equally adept at spinning and conventional fishing.
St. Simons Outfitters specializes in sight fishing for tailing Redfish, Triple Tail, Tarpon, Shark, Sea Trout and other local species.
THE ST SIMONS ISLAND AREA This western most port on the Eastern Seaboard has a significant tidal flow which greatly influences the character of local islands, bars and channels. A pristine location often thought of as a golfing mecca, is actually one of the best fishing areas on the coast. It is an area we know intimately and one which we continually work to protect. Fortunately this "unknown treasure" is neither crowded nor over-fished. Another fact not known to many is the great variety of fish in the Golden Isles. In fact at times there are more species of fish in this area than any other area on the East Coast.
