Cold weather and water has turned off the trout and reds who have headed for the deep. Best at low and incoming tides when the critters swim up from the depths onto the mud flats to warm their bellies. It is hard to entice them to take any offering. Some success with reds on slow retrieves. The whiting have started their run. Stay warm, cast with the wind and keep your fly in the water. The very best. Capt larry
